Nikon is running an ad for the D800 which simply says that you are going to want to go back and reshoot everything. Well I can't afford a D800 at this time but I thought I would go back through my archives and compare the shots I get with my D7000 to photos taken with my previous cameras
Lo and behold, I think they maybe right. I see significant improvement in the overall quality of my present prints to my older ones.
Of course I would like to think that some of the improvement was do to greater skill on my part but still in all I think there is some truth in the idea that improved equipment can help improve our work.
In the end I would guess that anything that causes us to reexamine our work and cast a critical eye on it is very good thing. Anything might trigger this. the desire for a new camera body or a faster lens or just examining the fine work of our fellow photo enthusiasts.
