Nikon 80-200mm f2.8

I've managed to get one of these lenses(the push/pull type) after I read rave reviews on them

Are they as good as they say?

Can't wait to get out an try it

Used the dual ring version on my D7000 for several years before falling into an awesome deal on a 70-200. It was as good as they said. Good luck.

I have the 2-ring model. Basically the same lens. And, yes they are very good. I'm particularly impressed with the focus field. Great lens for a reasonable price.
