it brings pleasure to my eyes, that Nikkor still list the classic manuals in their active list:
crazy to see the 55 still listed:
but,, not so crazy,, I love this old classic, I still use my 55 and 105 macros all the time.. I have upgraded to 60 af macro,, but have not yet gotten the 105 AF, I still find the manual 105 fills the bill.
and actually, when I shoot macro,, I like to be in manual focus anyway, and the old manual macros have precision feel to them. The new 60mm focus ring is not bad,, just not quite the match.
Of course, guess my 60mm ED is now considered out to date.. ON TO THE Gs!
