While I do not own a D7100... I have tried out the fisheye... very nice lens and would be a tempting item to get. However huge caution with something as specific as a lens like that, I'm sure you would not find yourself using a lens like that very often, and would be better suited to renting if you needed it for short term.
Definitely not an everyday lens.

My wife has the 10.5 and loves it, so much so that she sold the first one when she got the Tokina 11-16 and then bought another six months later as she kissed it. As stated, it's not something to use all the time or it becomes gimmicky.

I've never felt the urge to get a fisheye for my FX kit, but that's just me.

I had one for a couple years, even after I jumped to FX. It was the last DX lens I sold.

FE's are very unique lenses and take a lot of work to keep them busy. Many people buy them, ooh and aah over the results, then never use them again.
