Hi gang, I just made the leap from point and shoot to DSLR. I picked up the D5100 to capture my 2 week old daughters journey through life. I stumbled into nikonites.com looking for portrait lense information. A wealth a information here (overwhelming for this newbie). Just wanted to make a quick post to say Hi!

@Ted - I grew up just outside of Cleveland. I now live in the Akron/Canton Area. I'm also a Kent State alum!

Go Flashes! College World Series and now, the best football season in decades. I went to school with Jack Lambert, Don Nottingham, and Thurman Munson. I marched in 1970.
