@Wormish is right a Nikon AF 50mm is must have for full frame shooters (heck for any shooters!! ) I have the D 50 f/1.4 and is is mind boggling good. Cost is a non issue both D models and the f /1.8 G AF can be had for a song without the dance.....my LCS actually threw the 50 f/1.4 D AF in for zip when I bought the D300 used with 38K clicks.

I thus assumed it would be MEH to my lofty standards. Wrong.

@jaydean If your borrowed mine for a week you would feel differently.

However your lineup is one of the more drool worthy ones I have seen on the forum.....love those f//4 zooms! and the f/2.8 VRII zoom is maybe the best piece of kit on the planet.....

Thank you, i am more than happy my lenses, and would recommend all of them in a heartbeat.
I used to own a 50mm when i shot in DX and found it too long for that format, so i swapped it for a 35mm which suits DX better imo. Still, i found it gathered more dust than took photos and ended up selling that one too, just not for me

The 35 is the 50mm equivalent for DX which is very popular. 50mm is 75mm equivalent for DX, not many people use 75. You know this already though -- You are a shining example of a man who makes use of and loves the flexibility of his zoom lenses. That is admirable. : )
