Nothing fishy is going here. What IS fishy, however, is the fact that this should've been done long time ago, with ALL lenses, to avoid the problem called "back/front focus" or "focus being off". I bet, many manufacturers have had this solution ready on their shelves, like 10 years ago but the cunning barman is always looking for a chance to put a spoon of salt into the customer's glass of wine to keep him thirsty... It is not a deception, no Sir, it's a busyness...
