Thanks for sharing ... I was about to post and ask if it would work with the d3100, but you already answered for me. I think this is going on my "I want" list. I love my 35mm, but i'd love to have this one too

I love how my Series E 50mm 1.8 takes great shots, but it is really finicky to focus manually. Also with fast changing lighting, I am missing shots, as it doesnt meter. I am so amped that this is coming out. I am going to put my Series E up for sale once I get one. London Drugs in Vernon says they will have it, but not taking pre-sales orders.
I already pre ordered it, i am at the top of the list to get mine as soon as they come i [First Week of June]

I just checked at Vistek and they have them in, and available for purchase. Come on tax return, get here before the Canada Post strike on Friday.
