It is an awesome lens, I got mine a couple of weeks back too..
The colours and sharpness compared to the 18-55 are mindblowing.
One question, do you guys still use a protective UV filter for it.
Since the lens element so deeply recessed in the body not sure if its required?

understood, and aware of that viewpoint as well.
I only have one other lens 18-55 and do use a hoya filter on that....
