New 24-70 2.8 VR!

The Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8 and 35-100mm f2.8 are very good for that system.

I would still like to know what you FF guys shoot with that focal range.
Is it like the 18-55 of the DX world?

Just about everything, great for weddings and portraits, products. It is my walk about lens and most used lens.

I'd personally kill for a 20-70 range with solid optics. 20-40s could be a bit of a stretch shooting event portraits, but probably doable with some cropping in post. 24 just really isn't wide enough quite often.

I had the Tamron also and it is fantastic. As excited I'd be about this lens I wouldn't have parted with the Tamron. This will probably come in at $1,999 at least

The 24-70 f2.8 by Nikon is a killer lens, it iss my most used lens & the one I walk around with. Not interested in VR on this lens, don't need it.
