My Daisy girl is gone!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Unfortunately she still is not home with us.
I had a lead today that a Rottie was hanging around for the last couple of days across from someones house about 30 miles away from us. I drove out there to check, but it was a male dog.

Called the local animal rescue to have him picked up. It's one disappointment after another.
I don't even feel like taking pics. Haven't even picked up my camera in 4 days now.

Maybe another visit to the local and nearby shelters would help. I was a shelter volunteer for several years before we moved, so I know how busy and hectic things can get even in the best shelters. Sometimes repeated visits are necessary to be sure all the folks at the shelter are up to speed and on the lookout for a specific animal. It's just too easy to forget one request amid all the hubbub and day-to-day ups and downs.

I'll look forward to hearing that she's home. Meantime, we'll keep you and Daisy in our prayers.

Thanks Bob. I've been stopping by the shelter every day to look, and if I can't my wife does.

Thanks. The first one was the one that turned out to be the male Rottie.
The second is not her.

I thought that might be the case with the first one. Occurs to me that a large healthy dog can cover a lot of ground when running from loud noises, thinking back to some hunting trips with gun shy young ones. Also, if someone picked her up, the place they would take her may be further. How far away have you contacted shelters and rescues?

I thought about your situation last night when we had to take our little canine boy to the emergency vet's office at midnight. He's going to be okay, and is acting pretty normal today, but I realized just how close I am to that little guy. We really develop close relationships with them, don't we?

Keep hope. Know that there are a whole bunch of Nikonites pulling for you!
