It would be so easy to stop the fraud. All Nikon has to do is a simple firmware update to display the camera model on the camera monitor during startup.
How-ever, its not Nikon's problem, it's the purchaser's problem. This only makes it easier for Nikon to point out that this would not have happened at an
AUTHORIZED Nikon Dealer.
Too bad, so sad.
