Oh wow, Congrats my friend on the great upgrade! :D

Okay, so here is today's photo. Let's just say Moabman is off to a good start on financing my 365 project. He only has $3800 left to go to match what I financed for his project last year. But I did make a deal with the devil. He told me that if I don't complete my 365 project, he will kick me in the jimmy! Not quite sure how that will work out for him, because the only jimmy I have is the one between his legs. I am now part of the D7100 club. My D5100 will be my back up camera.

Very nice shot. Now tomorrow you can take a shot of the backup 5100! See how well that works out?!

Day 4 Photo's

I had my grand babies today and had a great time playing with my camera. Some of the photos are not the best as far as quality and my learning curve with the new camera is definitely apparent. But I am learning, so even though I am mad at Moab man because his pictures of the babies look spectacular and mine not so hot. I will get there.

One day the tables will turn on this little one and her brother will be stronger, however, her disposition may still give her the upper hand.

I am too big to have someone read to me. Which definitely fits her personality.

Fantastic shots! And don't worry about "quality" of the photo in family shots. Its the quality of the memory they bring back that matters!

okay, I am mad!. I got the new toy and Moab Man was suppose to teach me how to focus. I told him today that I had my focus box on the baby's eye. When I went to post process he says you must of thought you had it on the baby's eye. He know discover that he did not teach me how to properly set up my focus.

Your honor, I plead incompetence on behalf of the camera operator. Apparently the camera suffered an ID 10 T error and flipped the switch on the camera body thus disabling her focus. Therefore, I can not be held responsible for the mentally less capable that can't keep her fingers off what she doesn't know how to use.

Oh wait, I think I hear her in the other room, "Ooh look, a shiny button. I wonder what will happen if I push it."

Yup, that was her. I rest my case.

I think that the subject matter TOTALLY overrides the learning curve. :) Besides, that is what we are doing the 365 for, so that we can learn and be great. However, I am still jealous of the 7100.

Obviously my wife can not properly wield the great power that goes with having a D7100 so I just may have to re-gift it to you!

Keep it up and you will hit the longest dry spell of your life. Beside the fact, that you are already sleeping in the dog house.
