Sometimes I envy your imagination @Moab Man.
What I'm finding, which confirms what I have read, that it's not quite as sharp as some of the higher megapixel cameras. However, I'm thinking this may be a real benefit for portrait work concerning skin. Kind of matches what I found when comparing the D800 with the D600. The D800 picked up details you couldn't readily tell were there with your eye.
I do love the sound of the shutter, different from all my other cameras. Looking forward to shooting with her.
The only gripe I have so far is the placement of the strap lugs on the body. The strap gets in the way of reaching for the shutter and you have to remember to consciously place your finger behind the strap. Otherwise, Loving the camera so far.I really think the DF offers something unique.
