With California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho all on fire we have been buried in smoke. However, smoke makes for some great colors for the sun and moon. The smoke was so heavy you could look straight into it.

Headed out to Antelope Island located in the Great Salt Lake. Photographed some bison, hummingbirds, and a tree stump located in the lake bed. It is a bit of a mystery as to why it's located there. Nothing grows in the Great Salt Lake and this stump is huge. The only reason we're seeing it is because the lake is terribly low right now.

Took a break from sifting through wedding photos to edit and went out for a little walk-about in the neighborhood to see what I could find.

Further out I stumbled upon this flower as the sun had come down and lit it up beautifully without blowing out the reds.

And finally, I found this old truck in the back of an old abandoned apple orchard as the last bit of sun peeked over the horizon one last second before fading away.
