I love me some Shelby. But if there's something I really love about these shots it's the 8-track case in the front seat. I had that exact case growing up. Too cool.

Day 153 Kodak Flower & Stump
This summer I will be teaching a basic photography class. The elementary students at our school have loved looking at the Moab families photography. This is always followed up by the groan that they just don't have a good camera. Of course all of us around here with our high end cameras, yes I'm speaking to the D3xxx crowd as well, all like to say, "it's not the camera but the photographer." Let me tell you that it is easy to say and hard to walk-the-walk. Primarily because of familiarity, EVERYTHING is in a menu, and even in manual mode the camera still wants to try and override and fight you. Lets just say walking-the-walk is not for the weak.
So here are two shots that I did from the old dug out of a box Kodak. First one of a flower with a slight white vignette to bring focus to the flower. The macro mode actually worked pretty well. However, having to override the camera so it didn't blow out the flower was a chore.
This one is a star in a stump. Converted it to black and white with a high contrast.
