I thought it might have had a touch of gray as well. However, every monitor being different I've never seen so many shades of color in "white." LOL The monitor I'm on right now gives it a purple hue.

Thanks for the input.

Day 38 - Kids

Couldn't do much about the background as the statue is where it is and I could only shoot through a window. However, I like the statue.

Oh wauw! Beautiful!

Day 34

We all try to take the best photos we can and sometimes forget to just enjoy the camera. I know I do from time-to-time. Well tonight's photo isn't a great photo; just a photo of curiosity. The snow was coming down and I wondered what a long exposure might look like. Now I know.

I think it looks REALLY nice and make a very interesting photo! :)

While not a photo I shot today (already posted that), I did sit down and mess with this old photo of my daughter today. Wanted to sit down and start seriously working on my portrait editing skills. She had some crazy hair color going on at the time which has an interesting look.

Imo, you overdid on her teeth and skin. To doll-ish for my taste. But the composition and her is very good, and very sharp.

Moab Man says, "Thank you. I thought it might be. I will be playing with some others and will pull it back a bit."

I do not believe it, but could be wrong.
1) it seems that the "I could only shoot through a window" is something you put as limit for yourself.
2) it is not clear what lens you used and what aperture, but blurring the background should be possible with a f1,8 as you own, when you get close enough.

All that said, I think that the effort of blurring out the background would have improved the image, but only marginally so. I like it also the way it is.

P.S.: I do think the best artists will put their own safety and sanity on lower priority then doing what is needed to get that art perfect. RIP Vincent Van Gogh.

Lets see. First I get my Batman grappling hook to scale the side of the building. I then run across the roof, do a back ninja flip down to the glassed in courtyard, and snap my picture. I then use my Acme Wile E. Coyote Super Genius Glass Suction Cup climbers to scale the windows back to the roof where Wonder Woman meets me in her invisible jet to fly me away to safety.

Or, I really couldn't get the shot because I don't have superhero friends. LOL!

Day 39 - Quail?

Not sure what this bird is, but they are pretty. The wife and I spent some time on Antelope Island and we arrived at the right time as these little birds were scooting all around.

Thank you. The rain, which is why I encourage people to get out in the rain, just made the colors richer on this heavily overcast day.

ISO 4000 - Not bad with proper exposure and a bit of help from the on board flash. Left the proper flash in the bag doh!

A landscape showing the rich colors of the wet grasses as the storm above rains down. I love bad weather shots.

And the last for Day 39

We heard and tracked down through the night a couple of Great Horned Owls. The one flew off before I could get a shot. When I shot this it was nothing more than a black silhouette. However, in raw I could pull out details that I never imagined possible. Granted, it's not a photo you would use, but it does show the owl and amazed me at what I could pull out of pure black.
