The funny thing with this picture is when he asked me if I seen the ghost. I said, "oh, you caught an Image of the lady that we bought the house from that passed away." Death was brought on by natural causes and old age. Her children are the ones who we bought the house from.tells you how blonde I am and I am not even blonde.

I can't see anyone? I looked from different angles turned turned screen brightness up and down and made photo bigger. I'm using a 27"iMac screen and still not big enough for me to see anything but a burning candle???

You can see the "ghost" straight on. From any other angle you don't see her. However, what I would like to say is that since I have such a hatred for Apple I have secretly made it not visible to Apple people.

WAIT! I just remembered, it might actually be an Apple thing in complete honesty. My wife could not see the face on her Apple either until she had it at full brightness (my computer is one third up from dimmest) and it was still hard for her to see.

I do hope you can see it at some point. It turned out really cool.

Holy Crap!! That is weird! I couldn't see it at first either. Then its like a ghost image appears!

I actually already had this typed up from someone else that asked so here is a copy and paste.

I shot this in the basement at night with no light other than the candle.

Exposure 1/25
ISO 400
f/4
Lens Tamron 90mm macro

I set my focus on the top edge of the candle flame. Next, my daughter put her face as close as she safely could. With the camera tripod mounted, I had her slowly start moving her face back and away from the candle as I snapped pictures. I then went through the images until I found the image that barely allowed my daughters face to show. In Photoshop I used the "Selective Color adjustment layer" to remove any of her skin coloring. Next, the burn tool to darken out a little bit of her shoulders and an ear to get just the face barely showing.

Hope this helps. If there is anything else I can help with let me know.

I don't see it either. I'm using a ViewSonic monitor.

I was SOOOOOOOOOOO going to try this same idea this weekend! Darn you for having the idea first!!!! (referencing my candle shot earlier this month and saying I wanted to try faces/candle light). I did *NOT* mention the ghostly face idea, as I wanted it to be a surprise, and then ya go an do THIS!? You're gonna have to go out and buy a lot of cookie ingredients for MoabLady now... and a nice package that will allow for shipping without crumbly destruction. ;)

Very well done! I actually didn't see the face until I read the comments, then, even though I was expecting it, got the chills when I went back and found it by upping the brightness on my screen a bit. LOL

That is a really cool shot!

It is a little tricky though. I can't see it at all on my phone that usually has a descend screen. On my laptop however, I would say that it's actually too clear. I think it will be hard to get just the right level...
But good idea and good execution :)
