The 50mm was certainly the right lens for this shot. Don't know much a bout portraits but I know a good one when I see it.
That is a photo for national geographic magazine
That's what happens when you have a really nice camerayou can take really nice pictures.
Next I'm going to buy a really nice stove so I can prepare meals like a world class chef.

Thank you for the compliment.
No! But after he becomes a world class chef he could buy a really great tablesaw and become a world class cabinetmaker. The possibilities are endless. What?? My fancy extra duty, powerful microwave isn't good enough to prepare world class meals??? LOL
A picture of Oregon, USA. The whole state seems to look like this which lends itself to some beautiful photography with rich colors.

Nice pictures Moab Man....by the way....how is Moab Lady doing?
She's doing very well. When her father got sick (cancer) nearly a year ago we were told he might have a year. In that time, except for the last two weeks, he had a great 8 months. We all had truly quality time, and most importantly, my wife had come to peace with what was on the horizon. When the last*two weeks came it was hard. When He finally passed in his sleep it was a relief for him that we were thankful for.
In hindsight we truly enjoyed the 8 months and hit an old man to laugh and try new things in that time such as Sprite, which he fell in love with, and this ice cream that he never tried because it was "too expensive."
He also found a love for movies, good and bad. He watched Bad Grandpa and thought it was the best movie ever made. We never tried to figure out his logic, but he loved it.
Yes, Tami is doing great with great fondness for the last 8 months.
