Day 59

Catching up. What a day yesterday. Riding to work on my bicycle when a woman plowed into me on my bike while going through a crosswalk while having both the green light and the crosswalk white walking man signal. Driver saw an opportunity in traffic to make a right turn and took it regardless of my being in front of the car. Normally, during the day, I don't cross in front of a car when I haven't made eye contact. However, in the dark that is not generally possible. I'm a little sore, the bike is OK, and both the bike and I will live.

Yesterdays photo - more dead flowers.

That is the scary part of cycling. Glad you and your bike are good. Was it the bike you just got a new cassette for?

Continued... Day 60

Prom Night. Would have preferred to shoot during the day, but there afternoon fun ran late pushing me to shoot at night. Fortunately, the rain stopped just prior to shooting. Credit to the D600 and it's high ISO noise free smoothness.

Dang, man - glad you're OK. I've had more than one hurried driver put me on my ass when I was biking and it's scary stuff. As I said, glad to hear that it's just bumps and bruises.

Wow,glad you managed to come away unscathed.I have only ridden on one car hood in my life, and that was enough, just about the same situation as yours, except she was texting.

FANTASTIC shot, horrid story. Guess I'm glad to hear that all are ok, although I think I'd have her fund a new bike and a few doc's visits just as a reminder to look THRICE!

A tree?!? You are in wildlife mecca and all you can manage is a frikkin' tree????? Hahahahaha!! :p

J/K George. It is a beauty! I am feeling a little better today and kind of wanted to poke some fun.

I will try harder! :)

What I wish I could show was this field where it was shot. The field had a lot of large rocks and one tree next to each large rock.
