He's in an aquarium, so I am shooting through some thick glass.

i read somewhere (on here??) that if you have your flash pointing down into the tank it makes for better pics, i was always going to try this but never got around to it.

I'll have to gave that a try. I think I just had the builtin flash on those pics, or maybe was just using lighting from a flash light.
Mostly I was trying out the new macro lens.

More backyard wildlife.. The neighborhood black squirrel.
Accidentally took this one with white balance set to sunshine, and it was cloudy, so looked blue.
Was able to correct by snapping a pic in "audo" white balance to see more where it should be according
to the camera and adjusted.

Today, the black squirrel is in his favorite oak tree.

No nuts yet, but he seems to be eating the budding leaves!

Sometimes I am grilling and have a beer and my camera out on the deck, and something flies by..
You can't tell it's an eagle in the camera jpeg because the bird metered very dark.. Used filmic and tone eq and exposure to get the bird detail out.

This fellow was lost and walking up my driveway:

He asked me for directions, and I told him the pond was back the other way.
He thanked me, turned around and walked back
