Re: Homade Ciabatta

Michael, from following the series of shots of this bread, I see you never learned you're not supposed to play with your food. Ha! Nice shots. When I see you post food threads, I am hesitant to take a look because it makes me want to find something good to eat.and I really don't need it. Ha!

Re: Sweet Milk Buns

They look good! In Central America, out in the jungle, they have these little stands by the roadside that sell 'sweet' bread and warm beer. A warm bottle of beer looks, and tastes, mighty fine at 96 degrees and 96% humidity!

I also checked out your blog. Like the water buffalo photos. :) When I was in Bali returning from Tirtaganga I ran into a older couple from New York and the woman was all excited about this American-style 'hamburger" she was eating. I thought she was going to break into tears when I informed her that it was really water buffalo! Too funny!

Re: Sweet Milk Buns

Gloria, Don's Wife wrote this on my FB: Those look like buttermilk biscuits--a favorite here in the southeastern part of the US. We use the word "biscuit" for what the British call a bun; what the Brits call a biscuit, Americans call a "cookie."
