Never thought i would get to post a picture in this thread,the UK is not the best place for this subject.Decided to go for a walk with only the 18-55 and what do i see a terrapin hauled out onto an island in the park to enjoy the sun.Well here it is in all its glory 55mm D5100 :D

Yes sorry i got so exited seeing one in the UK i forgot,i know its a released pet.

No problem. So, you're saying that there are no turtles in UK lakes or ponds unless someone releases them? How long do they survive?

Lots dont but i think if they get a few mild winters they stand a chance of surving the bad ones,some of our canals have had piranha caught in them,the grey squirrel was introduced and has nearly starved the red out,it can get a bit messy.

After dinner bike ride brought us to the Lake Biwa pavilion outside the Morikami Japanese Gardens.
