Thanks snap! I ride down that street every morning and never noticed the pineapple. That morning it was being sweetened by the morning sun. I turned my bike around and went for it.

Flood warnings, the county's not taking any chances. About three weeks ago, we really had a nasty storm and a lot of the roads flooded.

Because they're operated by the South Florida Flood Control District. Or they used to be. I remember their mascot, Freddy, from when I was a youngster down there.

Those don't look like they're the deep canals like they have further west south of and around Lake Okeechobee.

I'm near Fort Walton Beach, now. For me, it's just north to I-10, East to I-75, south to the Turnpike and straight ahead for about three hours or so when you start to see things begin to get really interesting. Or it used to be. I haven't been south of Jupiter in over eight years, nor south of West Palm in over 25 years. I've still got children in school, so I don't travel much unless it's where they need to go.

I can definitely get there in a long day, but can't go past my parent's house without stopping.
