No sunset last night, no sunrise this morning due to Hurricane Sandy. Raining off and on.

Walked out the door this morning in shorts and t-shirt. When my body hit the 62 degree weather, I turned right around and went back in the house for my jacket. Then my trusty bike and I hit the road looking for a good shot of the sunrise. All I got was this. The clouds to the north had better colors. That shot is posted in the sunrise thread.

Marilynne, colors are so vivid and love the eye detail.. what lens (and what distance) did you use for this..

I have to find some birds to try that on!! :)

Thanks Pat! I always use Nikkor 55-300. About 5 feet.

Went back to Wako this afternoon on our trusty bikes. Didn't take as many shots as this morning.
