back in the day I had a red Islander (1988) then a green YJ. c1991 with those square lights.
The square lights are the only thing I really don't care for on my 1989 Wrangler YJ, but I have 251,000+ miles and I'm the original owner.

I remember climbing the loquat trees as a kid and pigging out on the fruit. Not many people ate them, but they were popular ornamental trees in Daytona.

We don't know where it came from so a bird must have planted the seed. The one in our yard Is not a very climbable tree but very tall. One year I made jam from the fruit. Our mail lady stopped one day while we were in the yard and asked what it was. I was able to grab some fruit for her and she liked it, so we picked some more.

I remember climbing my grandmother's mulberry tree. She would put sheets under the tree and my brothers and I would shake the branches so the fruit would fall while we stuffed our faces.

Thanks for the memory!

We used to eat mulberries as well. I never cared that much for them, but a growing boy will eat anything. My mom used to scold us when we raided the mulberry tree in the vacant lot next door, because we would get mulberry stains on our clothes while climbing the tree.
