I got to Wako at 6am Friday. My photographer friends always tell me the Spoonbills are there between 6 and 6:30. It was pitch black when I arrived. Couldn't see a thing. Good thing it's a boardwalk with railings so you can make a wrong turn. When I got to the back of Wako, there were 16 spoonies and six photographers blocking the best views. Way to dark out. I got a lot of out of focus shots and the spoonies weren't doing much of anything but standing around. The water level was up from some rain. There was a mixture of spoonbills, glossy Ibis, wood storks, Tricolored herons and even one gallinule.
