Didn't get out Monday morning, but I did head over to Wako in the afternoon. The Foster Terns were flying all around the retention pond, so I backed in my Jeep, sat on the bumper and started shooting over and through the fence. I thought about going in the wetlands when two vans pulled up with kids. There were six kids in total. One of the fathers asked who needed scooters and they all took one. Some guards won't allow them on the boardwalk, but others don't say anything.
While I was shooting a COP (citizen on patrol) vehicle pulled up in front of me and asked if I was getting any good shots. I told him I was until he parked the car right in front of me. He apologized and left.
On Tuesday, my shooting buddy went roller skating until noon. I met her at Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge around 12:15pm. We were going to look for the Painted and Indigo Buntings in the Marsh Trail parking lot. It was closed when we got there. They were getting ready to do a controlled burn.
We walked the Cypress Boardwalk. Didn't hear or see any wild life.
