Okay, here's the story. This gator was heading towards the berm and stopped. I asked it nicely to continue and cross the berm. After floating there for a few minutes, it continued to the berm, stopping a few times. When it finally went up the berm, it plopped itself down behind a log. I said, "you're in a bad spot". It jumped up and started towards me. I jumped back even knowing there was a gate between us. It stopped a few feet from the gate.
