Saw this TriColored Heron squat

Then it pooped

and more poop (different color)

then it stepped in it.

That's a neat picture. Not knowing much about birds, I looked that up to find that some birds have "goggles", an extra semi-transparent eyelid to protect their eyes. Interesting stuff! Thanks for capturing this.

It's called a nictitating membrane. Always have to look it up. Can't seem to remember it!!
