Haven't been to Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge in four months.

Caught the last airboat heading out.

It seems they replaced the little wooden building for this trailer. They also rent bicycles here.

Saw six gators in the canal across from the boat ramps.

This Limpkin found a snail.

Just as I was getting ready to leave, an airboat pulled in the parking lot.

Then he went to the ramp

I tried backing up, but I couldn't get the whole thing

This gator moved away from the airboat. That's the top of a bench. They get real close land at the boat ramp.

The airboat started to leave and the operator must have gotten a call. He pulled over here for about 5 minutes.

Next stop, the Cypress Trail behind the Visitors Center.

He caught something

Moved up for a better view. Don't know how they see anything through all this stuff. I think it's duck weed, but I'm not certain.

Yeah, but you can read what they rent.

I think it's ugly no matter how you look at it. The wood shack was way better.

This Roseate Spoonbill was alone with two Wood Storks. Someone once told me they're related. Should look that up.

Just so you know, the GH and the RS were just before the trail started. Didn't see or hear anything on the trail. I did get a number of mosquito bites on my legs which I didn't see or hear either. I didn't check to see if Chris' truck was equipped with bug spray before I left the house - it wasn't. I have three different kinds in my broken Jeep. Also, it was bone dry in there.

At the trails end, right next to the rest rooms...

We got some much needed rain last night. This rabbit was in the parking lot at Green Cay this morning getting a drink.
