Do you have any place else you shoot, Marilynne?
That's my backup place. My regular stomping grounds is Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Wako for short.
They have to close down the whole place? Bummer!
They will be replacing the roof on the nature center.
The nature center is in the middle of the boardwalk and that's the only way in and out.
The roof leaks in lots of places, so they're not sure what they'll find under it. May have to replace a few heavy wooden beams. They thought about opening a side entrance, currently used by the lawn maintenance folks, but it's to far from the parking lot, so they canned that idea. Right now, that's the only place with a visible gator nest and the Yellow Crowned Night Herons.
