Chris was having a test done at the neurologist office that was suppose to take an hour. I went looking for some Gopher Tortoises. Didn't see any.

These were outside the scrub area

I helped the county worker with this. He made the mistake of asking if it was to high. I said YES, I'm short and the WELCOME is way up there. He thanked me and dug the hole deeper. The cement was poured in the hole yet so it's a tad off.

Every time I pass this Magnolia Tree I think of fellow Nikonite Ron. Wonder if he ever told anyone where his hidden tree was located? Miss you Ron.

I have problems processing red

It's not just you , go to flickr , do a search for scarlet tanager photos , you'll see a whole Bunch of pix with blown out red.
It has to do with the way colors are processed. You want to use adobeRGB RAW color space , not sRGB , in camera and when processing ,, which will help a little.
Underexposing or overexposing to help with the reds , generally won't make a huge difference either since the problem reds are usually of a very narrow value in wavelength.
If you come up with a great fix for digital cameras, I would love to know what it is .

Looked like rain this morning when I went for my bike ride so I took my Nikon AW110 (waterproof to -50 feet). Saw this family scattered all over. There are five ducklings but this is the only shot I liked. BTW, it did drizzle on me twice.
