Can anyone ID this thing? I thought it was a piece of a branch until it moved. It has legs and it looks like suction cups. It was larger and thicker that my ring finger.

I thought these were Purple Martins. We looked it up in Line's French bird book and she translated it as Black Swallow. When I got home I checked my bird book and they are Purple Martins. Female in the top left hole, male outside.
