The Raccoon was skiddish. Some man was banging on the trash bin to scare it away.

It didn't find anything in the trash, so it went looking for turtle eggs. Guess it didn't realize the birds had already been there.

Lately I've noticed a difference in the color of the Black Necked Stilts back. Looked it up and the female has a brown back and the male's back is black. You may already have known that, but it's new for me.

Okay, I tried Merlin to ID this, but after fifteen minutes I gave up. After looking in my books, I'm going with Lesser Yellowlegs. I know someone out there will correct me if I'm incorrect. Except for the first one, these are all highly cropped.

Can you spot the bird?

I brought the wrong lens to Loxahatchee. Had the Tamzooka, should have had either the 18-200mm or the 55-300mm. The water was crystal clear and you could see all of George relaxing in the canal. He was to close to the pier and I did the best I could.
