Marilynne's Wetlands and Other Stuff 2016

Pedaled to Costco yesterday for a hot dog. The El Rio Trail runs along the canal on the other side of Costco. It was in the mid 80's so we decided to ride it. There is no tree cover so it's brutal in the heat of summer.

Spotted this Osprey way up.

It was kinda far for the D5100, so I climbed through the split rail fence. I got about three feet from the fence and still far from the Osprey, it took off.

and tried to land here. Since it had its back to me, I started to walk towards it and missed the shot of the branch breaking when it touched down.

Thanks,i treated parting with my main Nikon gear like a alcoholic going on the wagon and staying away from the pub, (forum)i certainly had a steep learning curve with the mirrorless and a little frustration at some points,but now i feel fairly happy that i can go the pub (forum) and stick with soft drinks
