We were pedaling to the bicycle store when I remembered some one told me about a Common Myna in a CVS sign across the street from the bike store. It was suppose to be a yucky day so I had the D5100 with the 18 - 200mm lens. A first for me.

At first it looked like no one was home.

Then we heard bird sounds we've never heard before.

It kept moving from letter to letter

I believe there are more attacks after their young are born. People don't seem to think anything about getting close to gators when they stay in the same spot for hours. Young children and small animals are not safe around gators.

I've witnessed an alligator attack and kill a dog before, and it was over and done with before I could believe what I saw. Whenever I'm around water in the Southeast US, I'm ultra-wary, especially if it is hot outside. And that includes swimming pools!! I missed this guy having a snake snack by about five minutes. It was facing the other direction and I asked it to turn around please. The lady next to me was surprised when it turned.

I waited around for a bit, then it went under the boardwalk. I hung around a few more minutes, then left. I was about thirty feet away, when I heard the people watching the gator yelling. Seems the gator went after a turtle. The turtle was in its mouth and managed to get away.
