The rain/thunder stopped just before dawn. It was an eerie sky. No color enhancements were made to these. Not sure if I would have gotten better shots with the D7100, but Chris had the a/c cranked down in case we lost power (which we did for two minutes) and there wasn't enough time for the lens to acclimate to the temp outside.

As I was leaving Wako, I spotted this Osprey heading north. I used my Dr. Doolittle and requested he turn around and head south. I was surprised when he did.

Well, I was expecting a lot more rain from Erika that I'm glad we didn't get. Don't know who got it, but the weather channel was showing some really nasty stuff. We had the rain/thunder in the morning and another heavy storm in the afternoon that lasted about forty five minutes.
Found this guy hiding under the carport.

You will be surprised what the animals will do if you talk to them nice!!!
I asked myself what would Jeff do and asked nicely - please, please, please, turn around and fly over me.
The big secret is that this same technique of being nice works equally well with people! The part about being nice goes a long way, not the part about getting them to turn around and fly over you!!! LOL
