I really like the Pied-billed Grebes... they remind me of little "tugboats" floating so broad and deep in the water.

Nice capture, Marilyne... :)

Many nice shots in this thread, Marilynne! I haven't been a member here for very long, so if you said, I missed it... did you take any/all of the bird and gator photos in the Everglades?

Also, happy belated anniversary, and I'm glad you're o.k. from the "hit and run" car collision!

Thanks for taking the time to view my stuff T-Man. Most of my shots of the birds and gators have been in two wetland areas around my house - Green Cay (3 miles away) and Wakodahatchee (Wako for short - 1.5 miles). Some of the gators, dragonflies and butterflies were from Loxahatchee (a part of the Everglades).

Thanks also for the belated anniversary wishes.

All of my scabs have finally fallen off from the clip and run incident, but I keep hitting my knee on everything and now have two new scabs. Glad it hasn't stopped my bicycle riding. Eventually it'll heal, I hope. The police never did find the lady who clipped me.
