I took the Tamzooka off the D7100 to give my arm a rest. Wish I had it on for these shots.

I going with Loggerhead Shrike. Trimmed in camera and cropped in ViewNX2 - needed the size for identification.

It seems as that (having the wrong lens) happens often to me, too. I believe your real issue is the great number of opportunities you have. You could use a 14 - 800 mm f1.8 zoom that weighs 2.6 pounds and is the size of the 105 mmf2.8 Micro Nikkor!!:D Then again, couldn't we all use such a lens. It would, of course, cost only $495 for the Fluorite version...
