August 24th. Any of you old enough to remember this guy's face?

Absolutely not. This young one was a little strange as a matter of fact. At first we thought he was sick or something. He just came to the little water fountain and didn't seem too scared about us being around. He flew back and forth and just was kind of friendly. No lures were used.

I was making a small joke in reference to the delicious looking dessert. :) We've become very accustomed to the birds becoming accustomed to us sitting outdoors. They feed 3-5 feet from where we sit and when the feeders or water baths on the far side of the yard are empty they've been known to land on a chair under the gazebo, stare at us for a second and then fly off.

Today's catch. Unfortunately I only had the Fuji with me but just couldn't pass this one up.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day that my chess partner invited me to come over to his boat on the lake for a game and a swim. It made my day. :)

It made his day too because he won.

Today was cycling with Line. We took turns to make a pano around one of our favorite rest spot on the way up the hill.
Sorry I didn't have a Nikon with me...

So here's my Nikon shot for today. I did a focus stack trial this morning but hand held and I should had taken more shots. But the result is not so bad after all. D600 with Sigma 105 macro lens.

I'm really liking this shot! Awesome job my friend! :D

Thanks Bill. Have a look at the one exposure one of the same spider. I don't even know which one I prefer... I might have done something wrong in my stack focus process. I haven't done it enough to know the process by hart.

I'm not sure which one I prefer either! Lol They both look great, with their own points. :)

Well, we were able to fit the bikes in their respective boxes and they are ready to leave for Europe tomorrow morning. Quite a challenge to fill the box without anything sticking out :).
