I've kept a few portraits to post all at once. I hope you enjoy them. All taken with my super light Tamron 28-200 on the D600. I really like this combination for travel, not only is it light, but it's also less intimidating for people in front of it.

Nov 17th, raining again today, good thing we came here to rest. We will be leaving for Saigon tomorrow morning and the weather is supposed to be a lot better there. Here are a few snaps from my morning walk:

Just got a phone call from Marcel in Viet Nam. It was great to hear from him again, and he says he's having a great time. He should be back home sometime next week. In the meantime, he'll be sending a bunch of pics for us to enjoy. :)

Morning Marcel...
All good but that flower with the water beads just "grabbed me". Great shot...

Even if it's monday, there were about 9 couples having their pics taken in front of the Saigon's Cathedral. Wedding photography must be a good business in Vietnam. Most photographers had assistants with reflectors and multiple flashes. I stole one shot while they were getting ready. Used Photomatix to tone map a single exposure:

Here's a two exposure HDR from the chinese market:

And a food shot of our lunch appetizer:

Spent all day on the Mekong river and got a few good shots, but I'm just too tired to post process them now. So here are 3 shots taken today:
This one in Saigon in front of our hotel this morning:

Great recent shots Marcel, travel photography is probably what I enjoy most. If I could I would just travel around and take photos all the time. Great work!

It's been a while and I'm still post processing my travel pics while learning Lightroom. I kind of like it but there are still a few mysteries (some pics disappeared from a folder while still being in the mother folder…).

So here are a few pics that I haven't had time to post yet:

Marcel, I just want to say that when I found this site you were taking nice pictures but I think you have stepped up your game a few levels lately and are really improving on your photography.

Thanks Jeff, I'm sure trying to. But I guess it amounts to the numbers of photos that I take. The more you take, the more you know what has to be taken and done as far as composition and light.

I enjoy it so so much that I can't wait to be completely retired from my job to spend more time exploring my photographic eye.

I know the feeling Marcel... I am still working 5 days a week and 45 - 55 hours... does not allow much free time. I am looking for retirement in 15 to 18 months!!!!!

Back to work so here's a customer's portrait for my piano persons project. I was sure glad to use my 24-70 again.

Today the light and conditions were a little different. Had to use mixed lighting in a low basement with very small windows.
But, it's my shot of the day since I could not stop on the highway to snap the huge truck that jack-knifed.
