And today's shot was a bust. I forgot that my focus setting was AF-C. Usually I focus and recompose… It doesn't work with AF-C. So I had to resort to diffusion, paint effects etc. Plus there was one sun ray right on the pianist's hands. Well, can't win them all.

I was wondering about the middle picture, is that a silhouette of someone's head at the bottom of the frame? I like the picture but was curious about the shadow. Jeff

Yes, it was shot during a concert… I know, but thanks to the D7000 Quiet mode and the fact that I shot during a loud passage, I didn't disturb my neighbors (except my girlfriend who gave me "THE LOOK".

So it is the top of the head of the person sitting in front of me that's in the lower part of my picture.

Marcel, this is a very nice picture. I do find it a bit strange that it has such shallow depth of field for being shot at F/8.0
