I hope we get to see a piano person soon made with the D700 and Rokinon 85...

I'll put my pride away for now and post the first one I did today even if I back focused it. I tried to cheat with post processing and was able to make it a little better, but at 1.4, the focus plane is almost paper thin.

I had a chance to get another piano person's portrait this afternoon. This time I made sure the focus was right where it had to be. I closed the lens to 2.8 and it's VERY clean.

What in the world are you trying to do shooting wide open??? LOL

Lens is a pretty good background burner I'd say...I think I could get along with such a lens just fine!

Man I love 85s and 105s...

Rainy day, we got snow during the night but it's all melting away now. Photomatix comes to the rescue

The man in front of the Yamaha is the more human of the two shots. It appears that 2 sympathy cards have been added to the top of the piano.

The tall card appears to be a breast cancer card. If so, he has my sympathy. My sister had a card very similar to that just before the end.

He also needs to water his plant.

Thanks for the info Pete. This fellow was one of my classmate's brother and I've known him for a very long time. I find it strange that he never mentioned his partner's health while I was there. And he only put the card back after I was finished… It could be very sad indeed...

Summer is coming, the leaves are just starting out and so the bugs are already working.

And a piano person pic for day 117. This person wanted me to wait for her son to get home so she would NOT get herself in the photo. I guess I must be a little charming range: because she finally agreed.
