How do you like the D600 vs. the D700?

Not from a "one is better" sense, but more in comparison, if you will.

Having not used a D700, I can only compare to my former D5100

Nice to see the fall colours Marcel. I am also interested about your opinion between the D700 and D600. I know you have all of your presets customized with the D700 and it takes a while before you start warming up with the new body.

I don't have too many presets, if any. I shoot raw and process with CS5. With the 600, I started with jpeg since there were no converters yet. But I got ARC converter to DGN and used that for my market shot. Post was done in Aperture 3 and CS5.

I'll try to take the same shot with the same lens sometimes next week and post the 100% crops to show you.

One thing I like for sure is the size and weight of the 600. It much nicer to travel or hike with.

Where are all of those Barbie dolls (or maybe I should call them birds) you were shooting a few weeks back? I want to see them again...with the D600...please...sir.... :)

For forums like this, with the quality we are allowed to post, you would see absolutely no difference. The images that I got with the D700 were astounding. There was some kind of pixel quality that I had not seen with my other bodies before. So I give myself time to shoot more with the 600 before selling the 700.

This is my other submission for the weekly challenge I know I'm not allowed to compete in. But I still do it just for fun. I hesitated between this shot and the onions. Tell me which one I should have entered.
