I didn't notice the ISO on this shot, but I did notice it on your chess shot, and was going to say something along the lines of... "wow!!.. Really? ISO 2500?"
Even if the camera doesn't handle like the others (controls are just not at the same place), the sensor is wonderful and so is the Auto White Balance. It doesn't cease to amaze me. Going out with it and a manual focus lens is such a feast and is so light. I'm glad I exchanged my D600 for this one.

Two pictures today.

First is a cat portrait since I thought I wouldn't take the camera outside. Df and 35 Ais manual focus.

Second is a picture of snow, blown by the wind and strongly backlit. I played with it a bit to get this space like B&W landscape.

A little B&W for this Feb 19th. As I was driving to a customer, I came to this scene and just couldn't pass the opportunity.

Eventually, the white snow will turn grey and melt away... :)

One more abstract pic for today. A pile of chairs were waiting to be put on stage for the Sherbrooke Symphonic Orchestra. Df, 50 1.8 D.

You and that DF are a *great* combination. Love this shot...another wall hanger, if you have any wall space left...

Thanks, but I'm afraid you hit the nail when you mentioned the wall space... One day I'll find the right space to exhibit. :)

Shadow illusion. Too bad I already have posted my 3 entries to the light and it's shadow in this month's Assignment thread.

Yesterday's pic, reflected selfie. Notice (or not) the black tape on the white Nikon on the Df.

There is an Ice challenge in Sherbrooke and the participants were allowed to try the course today. This is where I learned how to ski. They made an solid ice hill with it and some crazy persons are going down with normal hockey skates... Unfortunately I was using manual focus and I got about 98% of rejects. But I spent good times outdoors practicing photography.

A few more shots from yesterday's walkabout.

Although the poney was moving, I love the mood of this shot. Even if I would have loved to have it completely sharp, I think it adds to the relationship these two have.
