Hey guys :)

I had bought a USA Gear backpack from Amazon, it was ok to begin with but the rain cover tore on the first use so I sent it back, since the I have been carefully carrying the D7100 around in a non-specific rucksack.

I've been uncomfortable with this so tonight I bought one from Manfrotto, the Advanced Travel Backpack direct off their website.

Does anyone use Manfrotto ? I should really have asked this first before ordering, oh well.

Hoping its a good make, be interested to hear if anyone has the same backpack.

Cheers :)

I don't know about bags and backpacks, but yes it's a good brand. It puts out good tripods and such! :D

The most popular brand here I think is the Lowpro and I personally love the Tamrac expedition backpacks! But I just don't know anything about Manfrotto bags at all.

Well you found one of the most popular brand already for reasonably priced but well made tripods! Lol :)

Sorry I'm not more knowledgeable on that brand though. I just don't have any experience with it personally.

Have you looked at Think Tank? They are awesome - great bags, well made and definitely designed by photographers. Quite expensive - it's the most expensive brand in our store but we can't keep them in stock! Never had any returns (compared to Lowepro and Tamracs!) Look at their Retrospective and Suburban series - best selling of all the Think Tank bags.

Yes Monfrotto gear is good. That being said, the tripods, heads, etc... ranges from light weight to really rugged stuff. So just like everything else it's really up to you as far as what you want and how much you want to spend.
