Ye godes have blessed me with a ****ton of easy contracted food work, so by the end of the month will come that time I never thought I'd see anytime soon - fully pro body of sorts. To be honest, 600 does it for me in every aspect but extreme low-light and thus I'm VERY, VERY tempted to get a silver Df or perhaps look into X-Pro 2 as my nightlife, low light, general use plinker whenever I do not need extensive wireless flash system (and only still using CLS vs triggers because I just don't see much of such work lately/ever). Perhaps some sports like cars I used to shoot, etc.
So what do I shoot? Nightlife > food > real estate > cars > birds and bees/people > ???? > (weddings, only would even ever as a second)
Df - use ALL my glass, especially the 45/2.8AIP in that inconspicuous "hipster" package that I could well sneak into music fests/clubs instead of my X-Pro 1 and get stupid results without any flash. Obviously the controls that Xpro1 has been spoiling me with a little. Video the 600 can well take care of if I ever even get there (and rather just expand my team with video gophers than worry about that myself).
X-Pro 2 - aside from being crop and a whole different platform, it's everything is miles better than the Df aside from perhaps low-light, but I need to read into that. Would have to get a wide and a tele for this guy. Flash system is still non-existent, however it does take Nikon and any other systems in manual mode (which is what I've been using for a couple years now) so with some triggers I won't really lose that wirelessness. Lastly, but hardly leastly - beast in adapting vintage glass of all kind in MF setting, so even my Nikon glass can still be very relevant when needs be. (Gotta google, but) if batteries are the same as XP1, then I'll have a month-worth of power. 50/1.2 glass WITH AF and built to be a proper 1.2 on crop, which tickles my fancy over my 55/1.2 Nikkor.
750? - IMO too similar to the 600 and Df in a way, and I want something "cooler" feeling and smelling.
500 - real contender of all the above. Beastly crop that can further help with long reach using my existing kit, stupid rate of fire, and if I wanted to shoot RE, once I get that Sigma 12-24 II it may still be able to pull things off as a backup to my 600. If it uses 600 batteries, EVEN better to keep things consistent and interchangeable.
