I'm a pretty huge fan of my 105 AI-S. I picked it up for less than $200 and it has served me well. It's all manual, but works perfectly well in Aperture priority mode as well. I really prefer having the range, especially when chasing bees, spiders, and various other little critters that like to run off or that I'd prefer not getting too close to.
