Mac Photos App

Well after upgrading this app is a little on the weak side for post editing. I tried a demo of the Macphun Kit and found it much more useable. When playing around with the demo it showed a list of available apps that it can be installed into as a plugin, Mac Photos App was not on the list. Is the kit designed to be used as a standalone, I did see an extensions option in the Photos app so it appears it can be used this way. For some reason the Demo ver did not have the app in the list. Thanks for any info on this, appreciate your help.

They run as standalone apps on my Mac as well as plug-ins...

You can also install 3rd party apps in Photos... You have to enable them in the Extensions database in your system menus for the Apple... when you do... it can see the MacPhun apps by clicking on the Extensions icon in the Photos app. edit pane I just tried it...

BTW... I just played with Photos for a minute while trying to answer your questions, and about the best thing I can say is, do yourself a favor and get a real editor like LR or something. That photos app, IMO, is for children. ;)

Aperture did set the bar and I am surprised that so many have abandoned it. Just because Apple turned their back on us I still continue to use Aperture with great results and ease of operation. I do not ever intend to quit using it.
